The Beatles | The White Album (No 488908)

On November 22nd, 1968 — that is today 42 years ago -
the successor to the previous concept album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was released with a completely white cover, a very minimalist design. Only the words ”The BEATLES“were embossed (white on white) — from the British Pop Art artist Richard Hamilton — on the cover. There was also a sequential numbering, and the numbers below 0001000 also achieved quite a high value to collectors. My cover is 487 908 points away unfortunately, but at least I have one …
1975 — as part of an international camp in Hungary — a Russian offered me money for a cassette tape with a recording of the ”White Album“, as the first track ”Back in the U.S.S.R.“ (was also included in the 1967–1970 — Blue Album) in the former USSR very well liked. At the end of the camp I have given away the cassette.
